MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

The charger contains high quality materials requiring minimal care. For repairs, contact a service
technician.
To maintain the parts to the charger:
• Clean the clamps after you use the charger to prevent corrosion from battery fluid.
• Coil the cords when the charger is not used to prevent damage.
TROUBLESHOOTING
NOTE: Cold, sulphated, or damaged batteries can vary readings.
NO METER READING
• Make sure the AC outlet is live.
• Check connections to the battery.
•
Refer to "Performing an engine start," page 11. A breaker might have opened. The output
breaker pops when it opens and resets automatically in a few minutes. The thermal breaker
resets automatically in about 15–30 seconds.
HIGH METER READING
• Make sure the battery connections are not reversed.
• Replace the battery. The battery might have dead cells.
