INSTALLATION
4 - INSTALLATION
The hood may be fixed to the wall in two different ways:
- with the optional splashback;
- without the splashback.
Carry out the operations below in the order given.
4.1 - Fixing the support brackets
4.2 - Fitting the canopy
4.3 - Electrical connection and functional check
4.4 - Connection for extraction or recirculation
4.5 - Installation of the telescopic flue.
4.1 - Fixing the support brackets (fig. 2a-b)
1 - Draw a vertical line on the wall up to the ceiling in correspondence with the centre of the
hood; this line serves as a centre line for the vertical alignment of the hood.
2 - Positioning bracket 1.
Draw a horizontal line at a height above the cooktop of:
a) with splashback (fig. 2a) d = 300 mm + H, where H = the height in mm of the visible
part of the splashback; as there are a number of different splashbacks available, this
measurement is to be taken from the splashback supplied.
b) without splashback (fig. 2b) d = 950 mm minimum. Mark the position of the fixing
hole for bracket 1 on the horizontal line at a distance of 80 mm from the vertical centre
line.
