• Do not use the coffee maker without water.
• To protect against fire, electric shock and injury do not immerse the cord or plug
in water or any other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is operating. Do not leave
the appliance on standby for a long time. Never allow children or uninformed
persons to operate the appliance.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool
before fitting or removing parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance has malfunctioned, or if it has been damaged in any manner. Return
the appliance to an authorized service facility for examination, repair or
adjustment.
• The use of attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may
result in fire, electric shock or injury.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Place the appliance on a flat surface or table. Do not let the cord hang over the
edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Do not use the appliance for uses other than its intended use and place it in a
dry environment.
• Connect the plug to a wall outlet before use and turn any switches off before
the plug is removed from the wall outlet. When unplugging, always hold the
plug, never pull the cord.
• Some parts of the appliance heat when in use, be careful not to touch them
directly. Use the handles or knobs only.
• The carafe is designed for use with this appliance, it must never be used on a
hob.
• Do not clean the carafe with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
materials.
• Never leave the empty carafe on the warm plate as it is liable to crack.
• Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks or if the handle
is loose or weakened. Only use the carafe with this appliance. Use carefully as
the carafe is very fragile.
• Do not place a hot container on a hot or cold surface.
