Trouble shooting
Problem
The cooktop cannot be
turned on.
The touch controls
are unresponsive.
The touch controls are diffi cult
to operate.
Some pans make crackling or
clicking noises.

Possible cause
No power.
The controls are locked.
There may be a slight fi lm
of water over the controls
or you may be using the tip
of your fi nger when touching
the controls.
This may be caused by the
construction of your cookware
(layers of different metals
vibrating differently).
Press any key more than
10 seconds
The temperature inside the
appliance is too high.

Solution
Make sure the cooktop is
connected to the power supply
and that it is switched on.
Check the household fuse for
the appliance. Check whether
there is a power cut by trying
other electric appliances.
Unlock the controls (→ Safety
mode (child lock)).
Make sure the touch control
area is dry. Use the ball of
your fi nger when touching
the controls.
This is normal for cookware and
does not indicate a fault.
Release the key and then the
appliance reset automatically.
Stop and cool the appliance.
