CHANGING THE BATTERY

1. Turn alarm body counterclockwise and remove from bracket (see
installation diagram).
2. Remove the battery and connect the new battery to the power supply
according to the following battery diagram. 3.
3. Insert the battery into the alarm body and turn it onto the bracket.
4. Test the alarm! The sound pattern consists of a repetition of 3 short beeps
followed by a 1.5 second pause.
Note: Test the smoke detector for proper operation each time you change
the battery.
Use only the following 9V batteries to replace the battery:
• Carbon zinc battery: Pairdeer 6F22
• Alkaline battery: Pairdeer 6LR61
