NOTE: The above warning applies only to planers
without an automatic closing guard
• Hold the power tool by insulated gripping
surfaces only, because the cutter may contact its
own cord. Cutting a "live" wire may make exposed
metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the
operator an electric shock
• Use clamps or another practical way to secure
and support the workpiece to a stable platform.
Holding the work by your hand or against the body
leaves it unstable and may lead to loss of control
Safety guidelines during
power tool operation
•
Accessories not recommended and specially
designed by tool manufacturer shall not be used;
damaged accessories shall not be used; specification
of the accessory shall be within rated capacity range of
the tool
• Blade for plane shall be correctly installed and
used according to instructions provided by the
manufacturer. Attention shall be paid to the size which
must match the press plate to ensure that no mechani-
cal friction occurs between the blade for plane and press
plate during operation after installation After installation,
the switch shall be started at a safe position and the tool
shall operate for 30 seconds In case of serious vibration
or other problem, the operation shall be stopped and ar-
rangement shall be made for maintenance
• Machined workpiece shall be reliably fastened
and clamped with fixture or bench clamp to the
greatest extent.
• The fingers shall not be put on switch button to
avoid turning on the tool unconsciously when the
tool moves.
• The power tool shall be started before being
placed on material surface for processing. When
planing operation is carried out, inspection shall be car-
ried out to see whether any foreign matter is hidden in the
workpiece, for example, nails and screws Any foreign
matter discovered shall be removed before operation
• When the power tool is used, it must be ensured
that power lines are placed behind the frame far
away from working head. Power lines or damaged
tool shall not be used If the power lines are dam-
aged during work, you shall not touch damaged power
lines; instead, you shall promptly pull out the plug and
change the power lines
• The power tool shall be shut off before being
put down. After cutting off the power, the power tool
could be put down only after work head of the tool is
completely static At that time, you could not touch
the blade for plane with hands Similarly, the blade for
place will be very hot during operation; therefore, you
shall not touch it with hands before it is cooled
• If dust harmful to health, combustible or explo-
sive dust is generated during work, appropriate
safety measures shall be taken. For example: waste
dust that may cause cancer During work, you should
use equipment for removal of waste dust and sweeps
and wear dust mask
• The workplace shall be kept clean. After mixing,
the materials may be of high risk.
• Since asbestos may cause cancer, materials
containing asbestos shall not be processed.
• The power tool could be put down only after the
blades is completely static. The blades installed
on the power tool might be caught thus making it
impossible to control power tool
• The power tool with damaged cables shall not be
used. In case the power lines are damaged or broken
during work, you should not touch the power lines;
instead, you should pull out the plug immediately
Damaged power lines may cause electric shock
• The power tool shall be started before it is
processed in the workpiece. If the blade is stuck in
the workpiece, the power tool will rebound
• The power tool shall not be operated by children.
• Only sharp blades could be used.
• During work, the power lines shall be placed
behind the power tool.
• During work, you should firmly grip the power
tool and stand stably.
• During work, the base plate must be affixed to
surface of the material.
• When planing work is carried out, the blade shall
not get in touch with metal, nail or screw.
• When the power tool is operating, the fingers
shall not be placed into discharge port for
shavings.
Notice the power voltage: in power connection, you
must confirm that if the power voltage is the same
to the voltage marked in the tool's data plate If the
power voltage is higher than the appropriate voltage,
the accidents will be resulted to the operators, and at
the same time, the tool will be destroyed Therefore, if
the power voltage has not been confirmed, then you
shall never plug in arbitrarily On the contrary, when
the power voltage is lower than the required voltage,
the motor will be damaged
