3 Product Overview

3.1 Intended use

The walking aid is intended to support during walking.
The walking aid is suitable for indoor and outdoor use on
even ground.
The intended user is an adult with a maximum user weight
as stated on the product label and in chapter 7 Technical
Data, page 5 .
3.2 Indications for Use
Indications
Persons with impaired muscle strength and/or balance,
who need additional support whilst walking. The remaining
walking and cognitive ability must be sufficient for safe use
of a walking aid.
Contraindications
Persons with severe equilibrium disorders or functional
perceptual disorders.

4 Usage

4.1 Before Use

CAUTION!
Risk of Injury or Damage to Property
– Before use, verify the general functionality of
the product.
– Before use, check the product for any defect.
– Do not use a defective product.
Invacare presume a healthcare professional has made an
individual assessment of the user to determine his risk level
or therapy requirements. Providers and carers have assessed
that the product gives the required support and that its
adjustments are appropriate for the user. Carer and user
have been appropriately trained by a healthcare professional
on how to use the product correctly and safely.

4.2 Folding and Unfolding

Discomfort/Minor bruises
– Be careful of the pinching risk.

Unfolding to Operating Position
1. Press the side frames B outwards until the locking
mechanism A engages with a distinct "click".
2. Try to press the side frames B inwards to make sure
that the locking mechanism A is engaged.
Folding
1. Press down the locking mechanism A and fold the side
frames B inwards.

4.3 Adjusting the height

Recommended height
– The handles should be positioned at wrist
height when standing straight with relaxed
arms. Therapist may suggest different heights
depending on specific needs of the client.
