Cleaning the Air Filter
If there is a noticeable loss of engine
power
Simultaneously press the throttle
N
trigger lockout and throttle trigger
and set the Master Control lever to
cold start l
Clean away loose dirt from around
N
the filter
Remove the shroud – see "Shroud"
N
Pull the filter upwards to remove
N
Knock out the filter or blow it clear
N
with compressed air from the inside
outwards - do not wash
Do not clean fleece filters with a brush!
If the filter cannot be cleaned or is
damaged, replace the filter
Reinstall air filter

Exhaust emissions are controlled by the
design of the fundamental engine
parameters and components (e.g.
carburation, ignition, timing and valve or
port timing) without the addition of any
major hardware.
Adjusting the Carburetor
Basic information
The carburetor has been factory-
adjusted to provide the engine with a
optimal fuel-air mixture in all operating
states.
Standard setting
Check the air filter - replace if
N
necessary
Check spark arresting screen –
N
clean or replace it if necessary
Carefully screw the idle speed
N
screw (LD) down counterclockwise
(left-hand thread) until it is firmly
seated, then 2 turns clockwise
(standard setting LD = 2)
Setting the idle speed
Start and warm up the engine
N
Using the idle speed screw (LD), set
N
the idle speed correctly: The saw
chain must not rotate
