AFTER USING THE MACHINE
1.
Press the lower part of the switch (66) to turn on the fi lter shaker, clean the hopper dust fi lter and empty the hopper (see the
previous paragraph).
2.
Lift the main broom with the lever (53).
3.
Turn all controls to off position.
4.
Turn the engine speed lever (51) to idle and let the engine idle for 25 - 30 seconds.
(only for Proterra™ LPG) Close the safety valve on the LPG tank (50), then let the engine run until all the fuel is expelled from
the hoses (then the engine is stopped).
5.
Turn off the machine by turning the ignition key (64) to "O", then remove it.
6.
Engage the parking brake.
7.
Check the maintenance schedule and perform any required maintenance before storage.
8.
Store the machine indoors.
NOTE
The machine can be cleaned with a pressure washer as long as it is not sprayed directly at or into electrical components.
The machine should always be allowed to dry completely before each use.
Report all defects or malfunctions to any Advance Service Center or to service personnel.
MACHINE STORAGE
If the machine is not going to be used for more than 30 days, proceed as follows:
1.
Check that the machine storage area is dry and clean.
2.
Empty the DustGuard system water tank (4) and clean the water fi lter (30, optional).
3.
Disconnect the negative connector (–) of the battery (3).
4.
Check the engine (44) as shown in the relevant Manual.
FIRST PERIOD OF USE
After the fi rst period of use (fi rst 5 hours) it is necessary to perform the following procedures:
1.
Check the fastening and connecting elements for proper tightening.
2.
Check the visible parts for integrity and leaks.
3.
Change the engine oil (see Maintenance chapter).
MAINTENANCE
The lifespan of the machine and its maximum operating safety are ensured by correct and regular maintenance.
The following table provides the scheduled maintenance. The intervals shown may vary according to particular working conditions,
which are to be defi ned by the person in charge of the maintenance.
All scheduled or extraordinary maintenance procedures must be performed by qualifi ed personnel, or by Advance Service Center.
This Manual contains the Scheduled Maintenance Table and describes only the easiest and most common maintenance
procedures. For other maintenance procedures contained in the Scheduled Maintenance Table or for extraordinary maintenance
procedures see the Service Manual that can be consulted at any Service Center.
WARNING!
To perform maintenance procedures, the machine must be off, the ignition key removed, Parking Brake set, and,
if necessary, the batteries must be disconnected.
Read carefully the instructions in Safety chapter before performing any maintenance procedure.
