ELECTRONIC FILTER CLEAN REMINDER
These air purifier models each have two electronic filter checks to remind you when
to clean the True HEPA filter (s) or when to replace the Odour Absorbing pre-filter(s)
based on the air cleaner's hours of use.
When the True-HEPA filter(s) need to be cleaned, the light below "HEPA filter" will
remain on until it is RESET. You may unplug the air cleaner without interrupting the
filter check.
The light below "pre-filter" will illuminate when it is time to replace the pre-filter.
You should periodically check these filters. Depending on operating conditions,
the True-HEPA filters should be cleaned regularly, and the odour absorbing
pre-filters should be replaced every 3 months, especially if there have been heavy odours in the home.
To RESET Either Electronic Filter Check:
When a filter monitor light remains on, it is time to either clean the True HEPA filter or replace the Odour
Pre-filter and reset the filter monitor light. With the unit powered on, press the lighted button with the end
of a ball point pen with the pen tip retracted and hold for approximately 2 seconds until the light turns off
(Fig 4). Depending upon your individual usage (environment and hours used), you may need to check and
replace the filters more or less frequently.
These cleaning intervals are intended as guidelines only. Performance of any filter media is dependent
upon the concentration of contaminates going through the system. High concentrations of contaminates
such as dust, pet dander and smoking will reduce the useful performance of the filter.
NOTE: None of the filters are washable. Do not immerse them in water.

CLEANING THE TRUE HEPA PERMANENT FILTER*
The True HEPA Permanent Filter is vacuum-able and should be cleaned regularly for optimum
performance.
To Clean the HEPA Filter:
DO NOT USE WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS TO CLEAN THE HEPA FILTER.
• Turn the air purifier OFF and unplug from the wall outlet.
• Remove the filter assembly from the air purifier (Fig. 2)
• To vacuum/clean the filter, hold the filter and run a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle or brush attachment
along the filter to pick up the dirt and particles. Repeat along the entire surface of the HEPA filter
• Do not penetrate the HEPA paper pleats with the vacuum attachment since tearing or puncturing
can occur.
Note that the filter may still be discoloured even after cleaning it. This is acceptable and will not affect
performance. Also, do not be concerned if you still see particles attached to the HEPA filter. The filter
performance is still optimal.
• After vacuuming the filter, place the assembly back into the chamber of the air purifier.
• Put plug back into the wall outlet and turn the air purifier ON.
• Now you need to reset the filter clean reminder button by pressing the lighted button with end of a ball
point pen with the pen tip retracted and hold for approximately 2 seconds until the light turns off.
*Permanent filter life based on ordinary use and care.
