5 Placing Thermocut 650 into
operation
Danger!
The mains plug must not be plugged in during
the work described here. This is to ensure that
the device is not unintentionally switched on.
Injuries from the hot cutting wire could result
otherwise.
Clamping the cutting wire
1. Loosen knurled screws of the clamping Pos.
6, insert wire into the clamping and fi rmly
re-tighten the screws.
Setting the cutting length of the Thermocut 650
This is done by adjusting the outer telescopic
bracket and the corresponding variation of the
cutting wire length. It is recommended keeping
this preferably short - in keeping with the task
- to minimize the deformation caused by the
wire's fl exibility during the work.
1. Loosen clamping screw Pos. 9.
2. The wire holder can now be both retracted
and extracted
3. Undertake the setting required. Please note:
Make sure that the moveable wire holder
is in a vertical position! This ensures an
optimum compromise between spring pre-
tension and spring pitch!
4. Fix by tightening clamping screw Pos. 9.
Please Note!
Make sure that the moveable wire holder is at
right angles to retaining bracket 9! This ensures
