4. STARTING THE PUMP

4.1. Manual start

• Turn the fuel cock to position "O".
• Take the speed lever to the start position
"START".
• Pull the start knob slowly until you notice
resistance. This is the compression point.
• Push the decompression lever down. It will
automatically return to its position when you
pull the starting handle.
• Take the knob to its initial position and pull
vigorously.
• Once the engine is on, allow the knob to return
to its original position without letting it go.
