The combination of water and electricity can lead to danger to life and limb, if the unit is incorrectly
connected or misused.
Attention! Danger of electric shock. Ensure that the cable connection points and their
surroundings are dry.
Do not let the device run dry. Vibrations can irreparably damage the ceramic membrane.
Protect the connection cable when burying to avoid damage. Only use cables approved for outside
use. Ensure that the power connection cable cross section is not smaller than that of the rubber sheath
with the identification H05RN-F. Extension cables must meet DIN VDE 0620. Only use unwound
cables. Electrical installations in garden ponds and swimming ponds must meet the national and
international regulations valid for installers. Compare the electrical data of the supply with those on the

Never open the unit housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the
operating instructions. Always disconnect the power supply of all units located in water and of this unit
prior to performing work on the unit! For your own safety, consult a qualified electrician if you have
questions or encounter problems!
Correct electrical installation
Electrical installations at garden ponds must meet the international and national regulations valid for
installers. Especially adhere to DIN VDE 0100 and DIN VDE 0702. Only use cabes admitted for
external use and meeting DIN VDE 0620. Ensure that the transformer is protected by a rated fault
current of max. 30 mA via a fault current protection device. Only connect the transformer when the
electrical data of the power supply is identical to that on the type plate. Only operate the transformer
when plugged into a correctly fitted socket. For your own safety, consult a qualified electrician when
you have questions or encounter problems.
Safe operation of the unit
Keep socket and power plug dry. Route the power cables so that damage is excluded. Do not carry or
pull the units by the connection cables. The power connection cables cannot be replaced. If the cable
is damaged, the entire unit has to be disposed of. Never run the pump without water! Otherwise the
pump will be destroyed. Never use the pump for fluids other than water. Other fluids could destroy the
unit. Never open the unit or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the
operating instructions. Never carry out technical modifications to the unit. Only use original spare parts
and original accessories for the unit. Only have repairs carried out by authorised customer service
points.
Maintain a safety distance of at least 50 cm from combustible material. Ensure a safe seating. Do not
cover the unit. Danger of fire! Position the unit such that it does not present a hazard for anybody.
Connect the power plug of the pond foger to the socket of the transformer bush.
Installation, connection and alignment
Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury. For use, install the transformer at a minimum safety
distance of 2 m from the bank. Choose an installation place for the transformer that is splash-water
protected. Also protect the transformer against sun radiation (max. 40 °C).
