INSTALLATION AND START-UP

Place the dehumidifier in appropriate areas, next to the rooms to be dehumidified,
and on suitable facilities to support its weight. Also make sure there are the techni-
cal spaces to ensure routine/extraordinary maintenance can be carried out.
— Do not position the unit in places where inflammable gases, acid and aggressive
and corrosive substances are present, which can damage the various compo-
nents irreparably.
Set up the following before installing the machine:
— The flow and return pipes for the cooling water with two cut-off valves for insu-
lation purposes and, if necessary, for the flow rate adjustment;
— Cooling water flow rate and pressure; when the machine is running, the water
flow rate must be guaranteed even when the radiant system is off because the
hot setpoint has been reached;
— The condensation water drain;
— The electrical power supply cables, the PE protective cable (earth cable) and the
functioning enabling signals.

PACKAGING

— The dehumidifiers and their accessories are inserted into cardboard boxes,
which must remain integral until assembly.
— The materials have not been installed, due to technical requirements they are
supplied packed in a suitable casing secured inside or outside the unit itself.

HANDLING AND TRANSPORT

— Depending on the weight, to handle use suitable means envisioned by current
directives.
— The weight of each individual machine is stated on the following manual.
— Avoid uncontrolled rotations.
— Great care must be taken with loading operations. All machines must be loaded
and stored on the lorry, positioning relevant spacers in order to protect all pro-
jecting parts such as hydraulic connections, handles and hinges.
ATTENTION: avoid dents and falls: a fall of the package, even from a few
centimetres in height, can damage the contents. The package must never
be turned upside down or tilted. If this happens, bring it back in the right
position for at least 3 hours before installing the machine.

INSPECTION UPON RECEIPT

On receipt of the unit please inspect all parts in order to check that they have not
been damaged during transport. Any damage must be communicated to the carri-
er, affixing the reserve clause on the way bill, specifying the type of damage.
Package contents
The dehumidifier is packed in a cardboard box containing:
— 1 machine;
— 1 bag containing the supporting kit;
— 1 user and maintenance manual.

STORAGE

In the case of prolonged storage, keep the machines protected from dust and away
from sources of vibrations and heat.
ATTENTION: Keep the packages upright. You can stack up to 5 boxes on
top of each other.
ATTENTION: Permissible environmental conditions temperature -10 °C ~
50 °C, relative humidity less than 90%.
The manufacturer declines all liability for damage owing to bad drain-
ing or no protection from atmospheric agents.

DEFINITIONS

USER:
The user is the person, institution or company that bought or rented the machine
and plans to use it for the intended purposes.
USER/OPERATOR:
The user or operator is the physical person who has been authorised by the user to
operate the machine.
SPECIALISED PERSONNEL:
These are individuals who have completed specific studies and who can therefore
identify hazards deriving from the use of this machine and can avoid them.

SAFETY STANDARDS

The Manufacturer declines all responsibility for the failure to comply with the Safe-
ty and Accident-prevention Standards described below. It also declines all liability
for damage caused by improper use of the dehumidifier and/or modifications per-
formed without authorisation.
— Specialised staff must perform installation.
— Wear suitable and accident-prevention clothing during installation, for exam-
ple: goggles, gloves, etc. as specified in current regulations.
— During installation operate in complete safety, clean environment and free from
obstructions.
— Respect the laws in force, in the country in which the machine is installed, rel-
ative to use and disposal of packaging and the products used for cleaning and
maintenance of the machine, as well as complying with that recommended by
the producer of these products.
— Before starting the unit, check the perfect integrity of the various components
of the entire system.
— Do not touch moving parts or intervene between these.
— Do not perform maintenance and cleaning until the electric line has been con-
nected.
— The maintenance and replacement of damaged or worn parts must only be per-
formed by specialised staff and following the indications given in this manual.
— The spare parts must correspond to the requirements defined by the manu-
facturer.
— If the dehumidifier must be dismantled, follow the envisioned anti-pollution
standards.
ATTENTION:
— the unit contains pressurised refrigerant gas. In the event of a gas leak
from one or several units, ventilate the room;
— In the event of a fire, the gas contained in the unit can develop toxic com-
ponents;
— Contact with the fan flow vent can cause injuries;
— The electrical connections must be carried out by competent and author-
ised personnel, as required by law;
— Defects related to the piping, hydraulic connections and cut-off valves
can cause dripping or water splashes, which result in damage to property
and hazardous situations if there is any electricity.
 When using the dehumidifier, the installer and user must consider and solve all
risks connected to the system. For example, risks deriving from the entry of foreign
bodies or risks due to the conveying of dangerous inflammable or toxic gases at a
high temperature.

PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS

— Check the perfect integrity of the various components of the unit.
— Check that the documentation is contained in the packaging.
— Transport the packaged section as near as possible to the place of installation.
— Do not place tools or weights on the packaged unit.

fied, and on suitable facilities to support its weight. Also make sure there are the
