GUIDELINES FOR OPERATION
The tool is not designed for stationary mode operation. Do not fix it to a vice or a workbench.
Work only with chip shield installed. Make sure the shield is not damaged or deformed. Working
without or with damaged chip shield may cause injuries.
Immediately replace damaged chip shield with a new one in authorised service workshop.
Wear protective gloves and observe power cord when working. Make sure the cut off sheet pieces do
not point at you or power cord during operation.
Sheet cuts leave sharp edges that can easily cause injuries or damage power cord.
Move bending sheet away from yourself or power cord when necessary. Hold it with hands with
protective gloves on.
Start the power tool before touching processed material.
Guide the power tool and tilt rear part downwards at 80° to 90° angle relative to metal sheet surface.
Do not tilt the power tool sideways (fig. C).
Guide the power tool along the material at a uniform rate and smoothly. Too fast advance reduces
working tools durability and may cause power tool damage.
When making curved cuts make sure not to tilt the tool sideways.
Unplug the power cord from the mains socket before commencing any activities related to
installation, adjustment, repair or maintenance.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Do not use water or any other liquid for cleaning the shears.
Clean the shears with a brush.
Clean ventilation holes regularly to prevent motor overheating.
REPLACEMENT OF CUTTERS
Upper cutter (5) and bottom cutter (4) are identical and can be used interchangeably. Each has four cutting
edges. Replace or rotate cutters as necessary, only sharp working tools ensure good cut quality and prevent
power tool damage.
To replace upper cutter (5) unscrew the base fixing screw (8) and upper cutter screw (6).
Replacement of bottom cutter (4) requires unscrewing only the bottom cutter screw (7).
Replace the cutters or rotate by 90°. When installing bottom cutter (4) make sure it adheres tightly to
the adjustment screw (3) (fig. D).
Tighten unscrewed upper cutter screw (6) and bottom cutter screw (7) and base fixing screw (8).
Check and adjust gap between cutters 'a' .
Rotate cutters only in direction showed on the picture. Cutting is not possible with improperly
installed cutters.
Do not sharpen upper (5) or bottom (4) cutters.
REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES
Replace immediately worn out (shorter than 5 mm), burnt or cracked motor carbon brushes. Always
replace both carbon brushes at a time. Entrust replacement of carbon brushes only to a qualified
person. Only original parts should be used.
All defects should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the manufacturer.
