Use of the ALAN 516 as Babyphone
This system is particularly helpful to take care of the baby while doing housework

the other LPD in RX mode: the radio switches in TX mode for 10 secs.

INTERCOM FUNCTION

Thanks to the INTERCOM-function, this transceiver is especially suitable for
the use on motorbikes. The DUPLEX function allows simultaneously
communications between driver and partner, as a phone conversation.

transceiver and an optional accessory (throat activated microphones, etc.) to
the INT-jack of ALAN 516. To use this function, set the PTT/VOX switch in
PTT position.
ALAN 516 is now functioning as an Intercom system. To get in contact with
other motorbike drivers (using the same frequency), the transmit mode can
be done manually (PTT-switch) or by voice controlled system (VOX). In this
case, the "PTT-/VOX" switch must be in "VOX" position. It is also necessary
the use of an appropriate accessory.
