1. Install the Valves
NOTE: Thin deck/rim installation requires additional support under
the deck or rim. Use 1/2" (1.3 cm) thick exterior grade plywood.
Thread a mounting nut onto each valve body so the mounting
nut's flange side faces upward.
Then slide on a fiber washer and rubber washer.
NOTE: Orient the valve body marked "COLD" so it is on the right
when you are facing the front of faucet.
Insert the valve bodies through the mounting holes from the
bottom of the deck or rim and thread a collar onto each so the
collar's flange side faces upward.
Adjust the valve so the distance from the top of the deck or rim
to the top of valve stem is 1-13/16" (3 cm).
Tighten a mounting nut onto each valve body from underneath
the deck or rim.
Install a plaster guard over each valve.
