remaining water
in the water jug of
the IronCare water
descale filter until my
next ironing session?

than tap water in
the IronCare water
descale filter?
The material inside
the anti-calc cartridge
had turned brown
before I started using
the cartridge. Is this
normal?

water descale filter
dishwasher-proof?
It takes very long to
filter the water. Is this
normal?
The anti-calc cartridge is
already properly locked
into the jug, but I still see
some water droplets
coming from the top
of the cartridge. Is this
normal?
Answer
It is not recommended to store remaining
water in the IronCare water descale filter, as
bacteria could grow in the water over time. We
advise you to filter the water shortly before
each ironing session.
We advise you not put any perfume, vinegar,
starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, organic
solvents or other chemicals into the IronCare
water descale filter, as this may affect the
effectiveness of the anti-calc cartridge.
Yes, it is possible for some of the material in
the anti-calc cartridge (especially the top layer)
to change colour before use due to exposure
to atmospheric conditions. This is normal
and does not affect the effectiveness of the
cartridge.
Yes, all parts of the IronCare water descale filter
are dishwasher-proof, except the anti-calc cartridge.
Remove the anti-calc cartridge before you clean
the IronCare water descale filter in the dishwasher.
It takes about 3-4 minutes to filter 750ml
water. If it takes longer, please refresh the water
and try again. If the problem is not solved,
please contact a Philips service centre.
Yes, water droplets may come out of the
holes on top of the cartridge. These holes are
designed to reduce the time you have to wait
for the water to be filtered. This phenomenon
does not affect the water quality.
