1. Lift up the hood.
2. Remove the terminal cover.
3. Disconnect the Black cable of the battery
first, then the Red cable and remove the
battery from the tractor carefully.
4. Install the new battery, keeping the terminals
in the same position as the terminals of the
old battery.
5. Install the terminal cover.
6. First, connect the Red cable of the battery to
the Positive (+) terminal with the hexagon
bolt and the keps nuts, according to the
figure. Tighten firmly. Slide the cover over the
terminal.
7. Connect the Black grounding cable to the
Negative (-) terminal with the hexagon bolt
and the remaining keps nut. Tighten firmly.
8. Close the hood.

To replace headlight bulbs
1. Raise hood.
2. Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the
backside of the grill.
3. Replace bulb in holder and push bulb holder
securely back into the hole in the backside of
the grill.
4. Close hood.
Interlocks and relays
Loose or damaged wiring may cause your tractor
to run poorly, stop running, or prevent it from
starting.
Check wiring.
To replace the fuse
Replace with 30 A automotive-type plug-in fuse.
The fuse holder is located behind the dash.
To remove hood and grill assembly
1. Raise hood.
2. Unsnap headlight wire connector.
3. Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at sides,
tilt toward engine and lift off of tractor.
4.
When replacing hood, remember to
reconnect headlight wire.

To adjust throttle control cable
The throttle control has been preset at the factory
and adjustment should not be necessary. Check
adjustment according to the following description
before loosening the cable. If adjustment is
necessary, see engine manual.
Choke adjustment
The choke was adjusted at the factory; therefore,
adjustment should not be necessary. If there is a need
for adjustment, check the engine manual.
To adjust the carburetor
The carburetor has been preset at the factory and
adjustment should not be necessary. However,
minor adjustment may be required to compensate for
differences in fuel, temperature, altitude or load. If the
carburetor does need adjustment, see engine manual.
