Soldering sponge
ATTENTION!
►
The hot soldering tip q must never come into
contact with a dry soldering sponge 2.
Otherwise, the soldering sponge 2 could be
damaged.
NOTE
►
The soldering sponge 2 is used to clean the
soldering tip q.
►
Dampen the soldering sponge 2 before use.
Soldering
Vapours can lead to headaches
and fatigue if inhaled.
■
Thanks to its design, it is especially suitable for
hard-to-reach areas and fine soldering work.
♦
Clean the soldering tip q on the wet soldering
sponge 2.
♦
After cleaning, the soldering tip q must be
tinned. Tin the hot soldering tip q by melting
some solder w.
♦
Direct the soldering tip q to the soldering loca-
tion and heat it.
♦
Place the solder w between the soldering loca-
tion and soldering tip q to melt it.
♦
Keep feeding solder w until the entire solder
joint is covered.
♦
Then withdraw the soldering tip q immediately
to prevent the molten solder from overheating.
♦
Allow the solder to harden and avoid any
knocks or vibrations.
NOTE
►
The flux is either included in the solder or
applied separately. When you buy the solder,
ask about the kind of applications it is suitable
for and the appropriate flux.
