PART REPLACEMENT
CAUTION - Before replacing any part, unplug from
the mains.
9.1
REPLACING THE BLADE (fig.11)
In order to replace the blade, proceed according to the
following indications:
- Place the head in the open position (fig.11).
- Raise the upper surface as far as is possible (T777-
T777-T777CE).
- Release the mobile protective casing A, by means of
push button B, and raise it completely.
- Insert the supplied wrench into the holes on the flange
and, whilst keeping the shaft blocked with the other
Allen wrench also provided with the machine, loosen the
left hand screw until the blade has been freed (fig.16)
- Move the blade towards the left and, at the same time,
push up and withdraw it from its housing. Then pull
down in order to remove.
- Mount the new blade making certain that the teeth are
pointing in the direction indicated by the arrow on the
blade cover casing. Secure it tightly to the shaft and
lower the mobile casing.
- Before undertaking any new work, make certain that
the mobile casings are functioning properly.
9.2
BRUSH REPLACEMENT (fig. 24)
The brushes should be replaced about every 150 to 200
working hours or if they are shorter than 5 to 6 mm.
PROBLEMS - CAUSES - REMEDIES
CAUSE
Blade not sharp
Blade not suitable
Blade worn or faulty
Blade speed unsuitable for material.
Inadequate squaring
Non-alignment between blade - splitter
wedge - fixing clamp - protection
Guide not parallel to blade
Shavings or dirt not removed
Cables disconnected or cut
Condensator faulty
Brushes worn
Inefficient contact between brushes and
commutator
Motor brushes worn or damaged
Motor commutator damaged
Electronic unit faulty
CAUTION - For correct mitre saw operation always
replace pairs of brushes and not individual ones.
T h e u s e o f o r i g i n a l Fe l i s a t t i s p a re p a r t s i s
recommended.
To replace, act as follows:
- Unscrew screw E (fig. 7), remove cover D and clean
the brushholder with a jet of compressed dry air.
- Rest the end of a spiral spring A (fig. 24) on the
brushes: it is possible to extract the brushes by lifting
this spring.
Remove connectors C from the brush-holder with a
pair of pliers, raise the spiral spring and keep it raised.
Extract brush B, holding it by its strands and, still keeping
the spring raised, fit a new brush, making sure that it is
inserted the right way round and that the strands run in
the special slot.
- Reset the spring at the brush head. Then reconnect
the connectors to the brush-holder and fit the cover
again.
ATTENTION: After fitting new brushes allow the motor
to run idle for 5 minutes.

Check the state of the power supply cable: if worn, have
it replaced by an authorized service centre.
