5. Installation

5.1 Inserting the battery (Fig. 1-3)

IMPORTANT

Nickel-cadmium batteries must not be heated above 65 °C and
therefore must not be sterilized.
The following procedure should be adopted for the sterile preparation
of this drill:
The drill is placed upside down (battery shaft pointing upwards)
and the funnel 26 (sterile) which is mounted on the drill.
The battery 25 (non-sterile) which is then inserted into the
charging shaft, by a second person (the battery cannot rotate) and
the funnel 26 then removed and is placed in the non-sterile area.
The cover 23 (sterile) is then mounted and must be fixed in
securely.
