2) R ecommended mains fuses are somewhat larger than normally required with Y/D-starting. Most high vacuum units are "heavy
started" and therefore require specified fuses. Cartridge type fuses recommended. Automatic circuit breakers normally "too
fast".
3) Different motors might have slightly different figures.
4) For Y/D-starting, the motor overload relay is set 0.58 x nominal motor current.
5) L isted cable area is minimum area at 40 °C (104 °F) ambient temperature. Several factors can influence required cable area.
Installer is responsible for correct choice of cable.
6) O n most markets a maintenance switch is required. Listed switches are fitted with one auxiliary switch for wiring to starter
terminals 1–2 as shown, see Chapter '6 External connection'.
