USER SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
REPLACING FUSES FROM FUSE HOLDER:
1) Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet
device. Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
2) Open fuse cover. Slide open fuse access cover on top of
attachment plug toward blades.
3) Remove fuse carefully. Turn plug over to remove fuse.
4) Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 3 Amp, 125 volt fuse
(provided with product).
5) Close fuse cover. Slide closed the fuse access cover on top of attachment plug.
6) Risk of fire. Do not replace attachment plug. Do not remove the safety device (fuse).
Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged.
TO REPLACE THE LAMP
The lamp base to the individually flashing lamps is not intended to be exchanged with another lamp.
(A) For steady illuminating lamps:
1) Grasp plug and remove from the
receptacle or other outlet device.
Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
2) Pull lamp and plastic base straight
out of lamp holder.
3) Replace with only a 2.9 volt,
0.464 watt super bright type lamp
(provided with product).
lf the new lamp base does not fit in lamp holder, follow the steps below before step 3.
1) Remove the base of burned out lamp by straightening lamp leads and gently pulling
lamp out.
2) Thread leads of new lamp through holes in old base with one lead in each hole.
3) After lamp is fully inserted into base, bend each lead up, like other lamps in the
light set so that the leads will touch the contacts inside the lampholder.
CAUTION:
This product contains lamps of two different sizes. To reduce the risk of overheating, do
•
not replace steady illuminating lamps with flashing lamps. Use 4 volt, 0.6 watt flashing
lamps and 2.9 volt, 0.464 watt steady lamps only.
CAUTION:
To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock: a) Do not install on trees that have needles,
•
leaves or branch coverings of metal or materials which look like metal and b) Do not
mount or support strings in a manner that can cut or damage wire insulation.
(B) For flashing lamps:
1) Grasp plug and remove from the
receptacle or other outlet device.
Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
2) Pull lamp and plastic base straight
out of lamp holder.
3) Replace with only a 4 volt,
0.6 watt super bright type lamp
(provided with product).
