SAFETY GUIDELINES
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION. IN-
CORRECT INSTALLATION MAY BE DANGEROUS FOR YOUR BABY.
facing forwards using a 3 point seat belt certified under UN/ECE N° 16 regulations or an
equivalent standard. Do not use with sideways or rear-facing vehicle seats. Always make
sure the baby harness is correctly attached and adjusted and do not drive before checking
that the seat is firmly fixed to the car seat as shown in this user guide. It is important to make
sure that the straps of the safety belt are correctly tightened and that the lap strap is as low
as possible to hold the baby's hips firmly in place. Make sure that the harness and lap straps
are not twisted. For maximum protection make sure that there is no gap between the baby
seat and the car seat.
See the recommended method in this guide. Under no circumstances should the seat be
modified or other elements attached. We recommend that the baby seat be replaced if it
is subject to violent stresses or an accident and also if it is worn. Periodically check that the
harness shows no signs of wear, in particular check the attachment points, the seams and
the adjustment fittings. Never leave your baby in the seat unsupervised. Make sure that no
part of the seat is caught in a door or in a folding seat. If your car has rear folding seats make
sure that they are correctly fixed in the upright position. Direct exposure to sunlight increases
the interior temperature of vehicles. For this reason we recommend covering the baby seat
when empty to prevent the fittings, and in particular the buckles, from overheating and burn-
ing the child. Never use the baby seat without its cover and only replace the cover with one
recommended by the manufacturer. In an emergency the child must be able to be removed
quickly. The easy-open buckle should therefore never be covered. The child must be taught
not to play with the buckle. Always remember to check that there is no food debris or any
other foreign object in the harness buckle or any of the adjusters.
Suitcases and other heavy or pointed objects must be immobilized inside the car. Unre-
strained objects may injure the child during an accident. Make sure the child's winter clothing
is not too thick when in the seat. Do not use load-bearing contact points other than those
indicated in the instructions and marked on the retaining system.
