STRUCTURAL SUPPORTS AND INSTALLATION

1.
Prepare suitable threaded hooks with nuts and adjustable gaskets.
2.
Install as shown in the diagram above. The installed device must be level, and
firmly fixed.
3.
Failure to ensure correct fixing may lead to injury, damage and excessive
vibrations.
4.
Use vibration damping joints on the pipes if necessary (if they are only partly
aligned with the unit inlets/outlets).

AERAULIC CONNECTIONS

1.
The connections between the unit inlets/outlets and the ducts must be sealed
to avoid any air loss, and must respect the relevant directives and regulations.
2.
The fresh and exhaust air ducts must be slightly tilted downwards in the ex-
ternal outlet to prevent rainwater from getting in (recommended tilt 1/100
- 1/50).
3.
Isolate the ducts well, to prevent heat dispersal and the formation of conden-
sate.
Make sure the ceiling height is no lower than the value shown in column B of
the table.
The device must not be installed near boiler fumes.
Elbow bends
Sharp changes
of direction
The following phenomenon must be avoided when installing the ducting.
Avoid using flexible ducts for long, straight sections.
The fire prevention dampers must be assembled in accordance with national
and local fire prevention regulations.
The device must not be exposed to room temperatures higher than 40°C, or
red-hot surfaces or naked flames.
Adopt all the necessary measures to avoid dew points or freezing.
As shown in the diagram below, condensate or ice may form in the unit if the
straight section AC (that joins the point of the outside air temperature and hu-
midity conditions C with that ambient point A) is outside the saturation curve.
If this situation arises, pre-heat the fresh air to pass from B to B' , and bring C to
C' . This will prevent the formation of condensate and ice.
NB: the pre-heater must be interlocked with the fans, as otherwise there may
be a risk of fire!
If the heater is fitted with a unit, the former must work in synch with the latter
(i.e. the heater only begins working when the unit starts up).
To prevent the exhaust air from recirculating with the fresh air, the distance
between the two openings on the external wall must be more than 1000mm.
