Verifying the installation

1 Connect the power and boot the system.
The HP-PB PSI card immediately conducts a power-on, self-test to verify that the
hardware is working properly. The result of this test is indicated by the yellow status
(see Figure 4) located on the bulkhead of the card.

Self-test passed
The status will light while the test is in progress (5 seconds) and then go out.

This means the hardware is functional, and you can now turn to the link product
software installation manual to install the software on this node.
Self-test failed
If the status remains lit (for more than 5 seconds) the HP-PB card has failed

the self-test and must be replaced. Contact your HP support representative to report
the failure.
