How to install the KAS
Follow the next steps to install the keypad.
1.
Insert a slotted screwdriver to the notch on the bottom of the keypad, press and remove the backplate.
2.
Use the mounting holes (no. 1 in the above figures) and mount the backplate on a flat surface. Make sure to use the tamper's hole
(no. 2 in the above figures), so the tamper will switch when the backplate is removed from the surface.
3.
Insert the supplied batteries; observe polarity!
4.
Enroll the keypad by pressing the enrollment button (no. 5 in the above figures); see how in the FORCE's Installation guide (in the
Wireless Peripherals
menu).
5.
Attach the keypad to the mounted backplate, top side first, and press until clicked.
6.
Test the keypad in the

The KAS' three LEDs at the top indicate, by illuminating for three seconds when any keypad operation is performed. For example, when

Note, that if the KAS sounds three beeps, the arming operation is denied, because the alarm system is not ready to be armed; check an
LCD keypad for details.
Low battery
When the battery is low, when pressing and holding the asterisk (*) or pound (#) keys, the Fault LED will blink three times. If any other
fault exist, it will then illuminate for three seconds.

alarm system is disarmed, and no alarm is in memory.
