5. ATTACHING THE INLET
ASSEMBLY
The Inlet Assembly attaches to the top of the Pre-Filter Cartridge. It is inserted the same
way the cartridges connect. Rotate the Inlet Assembly approximately 1/8 turn clockwise so
that the tubing lines up with the Outlet Tube.
6. UNIT START UP
Turn on the water supplies, and check for leaks above and below the sink.
7. FLUSHING THE SYSTEM
Turn on the Secondary Faucet and run water through the filter for 2 minutes to expel excess
air and saturate the media.

8. CHECK INSTALLATION

Turn on the hot and cold taps of the main faucet. Both should work the same way they
did before. Check for leaks. Also turn the Secondary Spout on and off, both with the main
faucet on, or off. The LX-500s Extreme should work independently from the main faucet.
