Before You Begin

Observe all local building codes.
Prior to installation, unpack the new product and inspect it for
damage. Return the product to its protective carton until you are
ready to install it.
Select the type of fastener based on the wall material. Fasteners
must have a minimum of 20 lb (9.07 kg) load bearing.
Install the wall fasteners to a stud or bracing to avoid possible
property and product damage.
Install sufficient bracing when installing this product in an area
with unfinished walls or in conjunction with other components in
the same Kohler Suite.
Do not complete the finished wall until the plumbing rough-in
has been completed.
Establish and install the plumbing rough-ins in the correct
location before beginning installation of the shelf. Remotely locate
the shut-off valves (such as below a vanity).
