Installation Procedure
The installation procedure that follows is for a typical passenger car. The
procedure may vary slightly with the type of vehicle on which the antenna
is to be installed. Generally, the procedure outlined below is universal in
nature.
1. Determine the location of the antenna mounting area and drill a
1.43 cm diameter hole on the vehicle roof or trunk. If the desired
mounting location is the roof, remove the headliner to expose the
underside of the vehicle ceiling, in accordance to vehicle
manufacturer's instructions.
2. Clean the mounting surface around the hole to remove dirt and wax.
3. Remove the washer and the nut from the assembly.
4. Peel off the paper cover to expose the adhesive gasket.

5. Feed the cable through the hole and insert the antenna legs into the
hole from the top and press firmly to secure the antenna in place.
6. From inside the vehicle, slide the washer and nut over the SMA
connector. Continue sliding this assembly along the entire length of
the coaxial cable until you reach the antenna bushing.
7. Thread the nut onto the antenna bushing and tighten as far as
possible by hand.
8. Securely tighten the nut using a 1-inch-open-wrench or adjustable
wrench while holding the antenna in place.
9. Return the headliner in accordance to vehicle manufacturer's
instructions.
