9. Getting started

9.1 First-time setup

Never operate the microwave empty. It could overheat!

9.1.1 Selecting a position

WARNING! Fire hazard
This microwave is not suitable for fitting in a cupboard. Adequate ventilation of the appliance
cannot be guaranteed in closed cupboards. Fire hazard!

the back panel clearance from the microwave to the wall is defined by the back panel spacer. This

9.1.2 Connecting and preparing the microwave

Remove the packaging.
Remove any stickers on the appliance.
Do not remove the light-grey cover plate in the cooking space (right-hand side)! This protects the
magnetron.
