NOTE Take care to ensure that the holes in the square drive spindle and
socket, into which the locking pin is inserted, are in alignment with each
other.
5. To secure the socket, first insert the locking pin and then fit the O-ring.
7.1.2.2 Removing the socket
en
1. Set the forward / reverse switch to the middle position or remove the
battery from the power tool.
2. Remove the O-ring from the groove in the socket.
3. Pull out the locking pin.
4. Remove the socket from the square drive spindle of the tool.
5. To secure the socket, first insert the locking pin and then fit the O-ring.
7.2 Setting forward or reverse rotation
NOTE
The forward / reverse switch is used to select the direction of rotation of the
drive spindle. An interlock prevents switching while the motor is running.
The control switch is locked when the forward / reverse switch is in the
middle position. Push the forward / reverse switch to the right (as seen in
the working direction) for forward rotation. Push the forward / reverse switch
to the left (as seen in the working direction) for reverse rotation.
7.3 Switching on / off
The speed of the power tool can be controlled smoothly (increased from
minimum to maximum) by pressing the control switch gradually.
7.4 Screwdriving
WARNING
Ensure fastener and attachment will withstand the level of torque
generated by the tool. Excessive torque may overstress, strip or damage
the fastener/attachment and possibly lead to personal injury.
Set the forward / reverse switch to the desired direction of rotation.
7.5 Reading the charge status LED display on Liion batteries
NOTE
The charge status cannot be indicated while the power tool is in operation. If
LED 1 blinks, this merely indicates that the battery is either fully discharged
or is too hot (temperature above 80°C (176°F)). The battery must then be
inserted in the charger. If all 4 LEDs blink, this indicates that the power tool
has been overloaded or has overheated.
