Asphyxia
It is important to know that vehicle emissions contain carbon monoxide (CO), a
colorless and odorless. Inhalation of this gas causes a lack of oxygen in the body.
When working in the trench, care must be redoubled. The gases accumulate at
the bottom of the ditch exactly where you are working.
- Prevention
• The ditches, so they should always have a good ventilation and exhaust.
• If work is done indoors, you should connect the exhaust.
Inhalation of gases
Hoses collecting exhaust gas, used in the measurement, when heated above
250°C or in case of fire, release a highly toxic ga s (hydrogen fluoride) that can

• Using a solution of calcium hydroxide to neutralize combustion residues. The
