12 Safety devices

The autoclave is equipped with the following safety devices:

12.1 Safety pressure: set to 2.35 bar

Cut the electric power of steam generator (or electrical resistance) to stop steam
production when an abnormal overpressure in the chamber occurs.

12.2 Safety valve: set to 2.5 bar

In case the chamber pressure exceeds the 2.5bar, this valve is automatically
opened to release the vapour into the inner chamber and, consequently, depres-
surizing the chamber.
In case the safety valve triggers, you must stop the autoclave and call Customer
Service.

12.3 Safety thermostat: no adjustability

When an abnormal temperature rises or a considerable fall of water level (with
consequent steam generator overtemperature) occurs, safety thermostat (14)
comes into operation by stopping heating.
This thermostat cannot be reset, you must stop the autoclave and call Customer
Service.
