10 Error messages and solution
The autoclave control system has the ability to identify a malfunction of the cycle.
If the cycle is interrupted, for example a power failure, or lack of water, etc...
you should consider that the load has not been sterilized and the process should
be repeated.
As a general rule: disconnect the autoclave, by the main switch, wait for a few
seconds and start again.
If the door is locked, wait around 20 minutes for the chamber temperature to
fall down spontaneously.
You can accelerate the process by opening the depressurization valve
manually (Close the valve before starting again).
Take care not to stand in front of the manual depressurization valve
outlet. Slowly open the valve.
Memory internal error:
Stop the equipment, wait for a few seconds and start again. If it doesn't work,
contact J.P. SELECTA's technical service.
Pressure sensor error: it can be due to a malfunction or the electrical connection
from the sensor to the CPU board.
Temperature sensor error: It can be due to a malfunction or a electrical connec-
tion from the sensor to the CPU board.
Open door error: The autoclave door is open. Check if the door is closed. Check
limit switch which detects the door and also check the connection to the CPU
board.
Pressure sensor reading > 2.5 bar: Open safety or depressurization valve ma-
nually. Check the sensor wiring.
The pressure value has not been reached withing the permitted time. Check if
the manual depressurization valve is closed, check possible steam leaks, and
check the pressure sensor.
Internal probe reading (inside tank's bottom) over 150ºC:
Check for water leaks. Check the K20 connection to CPU.
Heart probe reading (inside the control sample) over 150ºC:
Check the K19 connection to CPU and probe operation.
In the sterilization phase, the internal probe reading (K20) is more than 5s,
outside range +4ºC ; -2ºC of programmed sterilization temperature. Check the
K20 connection and the probe status.
During the HEAT phase, time for reaching sterilization temperature has been
exceeded. Check if heating works (power consumption) and the temperature
probes. Also check the safety thermostat and the safety pressostat.
Draining time exceeded.
