Solar house number light
Product no.: 011007 plastic
Product no.: 011014 stainless steel
Designated use (Fig. B)
The solar house number light is designed for outdoor use. The solar module (1) built into the upper
part converts sunlight falling on it into electric current. The energy thus won is stored in the built-in
rechargeable batteries. The light switches itself on automatically at dusk/dark and off again in day-
light.

First use/charging the batteries
The solar house number light may be operated with NiMh rechargeable batteries only.
Never use normal batteries.
The batteries must be charged before initial use or after being replaced. Fully charge the batteries
using a commercially available NiMh battery charger. Charging times will depend on charger and
battery capacity.
Alternatively, the batteries can be charged using the solar cells by placing the solar house number
light outdoors in the direct sunlight for approx. 13 hours.
011014 only (Fig. D)
Unscrew (3) the front part and remove it. Insert the charged batteries. Install the base plate before
putting the front plate on again.
011007 only (Fig. E)
Open the battery compartment (2) and insert the charged batteries.
Special attention for solar lights (Fig. C)
Condition
Shady areas reduce battery charging capacity
In winter there are fewer hours of sunshine than in
the summer months
Dirt, leaves, snow on solar cells reduce
charging current
Low temperatures decrease battery performance
Installation
Affix the desired house number before installation.
Clean with mild detergent beforehand to ensure a long-lasting bond.
011014 only (Fig. D)
Install the base plate using the 3 included screws/dowels. Fit the front plate into place and fasten
using screw (3).
011007 only (Fig. E)
Assembly with number board (4):
Fasten the upper part of the light with 2 of the included screws/dowels. Caution: Keep the centre
hole free.
