Cleaning the hood

The power supply to the hood must be turned off either by unplugging
it, or by opening the circuit breaker switch, before cleaning or
maintenance. After cleaning, you must replace the metal filters as
outlined in the instructions.

WHAT TO DO ?
Never use a scouring pad, or
abrasive or caustic products.
This filter traps fatty vapours and
dust. This component plays an
important role in ensuring the
effectiveness of your hood. In the
event of tough stains, use a non-
abrasive cream, then rinse with clean
water.
Remove the grease filters to access
the charcoal filters (Fig. 23). The
charcoal filters should be changed
according to the frequency of hood
use and in any case, once every 6
months.
PRODUCTS/ACCESSORIES
TO USE
Wash the outer surfaces with lukewarm
water and a mild detergent such as
dishwashing liquid.
Cleaning the filters by hand: Soak the grease
filters for about 1 hour in hot water with a mild
detergent, then rinse with hot water. Carefully
dry the filters and put them back in place.
Cleaning the filters in a dishwasher: Place the
grease filters in the dishwasher. Make sure the
grease filter is out of the way of the spray arm.
Use a heavy duty cycle with a temperature of
at least 65°C (149°F).Repeat if necessary. Dry
the filters and put them back in place.
Any colour changes in the filter due to
dishwashing have no affect on the filter's
effectiveness.
Clean the filter housing with hot water and
detergent. Never use corrosive detergents or
stiff bristle brushes!
Put the grease filters back in place. To avoid
jamming the hood, make sure the front
panel is securely in place.
