required to filter away. Normally, however, a filter should have a life of several
months.
The filter unit contains a particle filter and a carbone filter. A full particle filter
is indicated by an inadequate suction capacity. A full carbone filter is indicated
by an increasing odour.
To ensure the filter unit is replaced regularly, mark the the date the filter unit
was brought into use.

6.2 Replacing the filter unit
WARNING! Risk of personal injury.
Disconnect the mains supply before replacing the filter unit.
Seal the used filter with the plastic cover supplied with the new filter. Put the
used filter in a plastic bag and obey any regulations that apply to the disposal
of the captured particles.
