Site

When the HotSpot 2 is used for drying paint or any
other type of drying where solvent is used, the ventila-
tion in the workshop must be regulated so that the
concentration of solvent in the air never exceeds 25 %
of the lowest explosive limit.

Operating instructions

Insert the plug in an earthed electrical outlet. Press the
circuit breaker. Set the timer to desired time. The lamp
will illuminate and full output will be reached within a
few seconds. To turn off the HotSpot 2, press the circuit
breaker once again.
Since the reflector is elliptical, distance acts as both the
temperature and surface area regulator. In most case,
it is suitable to start at a distance of 30 cm from the
surface to be heated. Move the Hot Spot 2 sidewards to
maintain an even temperature.
Warning! If a shorter distance to the object being
heated is used, the temperature of the object rapidly
increases to a very high level.
If for any reason the IR lamp should break, the HotSpot 2
must immediately be disconnected from the electrical
outlet.

Hazards

Electrical equipment
The equipment operates under with dangerous electrical
voltage.
When work on the equipment is necessary:
– Remove the plug from the wall socket.
– Contact an electrician. Only qualified electrician may
work on the equipment.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Warning! Intensive heat radiation!
Heating body parts (hands. face etc.) is strictly prohib-
ited.
Never point the heater towards flammable material.
Not to be used without supervision.
The focal point of the Hotspot 2 is 16 mm in front of the
edge of the reflector. If the object comes within or close
to this focal point, the object becomes extremely hot,
and risk of fire could arise.
Do not store, prepare or use solvent-containing materi-
als within a 5 m/16 feet radius of the dryer. Flammable
materials should not be placed close to a drying device
in use.
Warning!
Ensure that your supply cable is not melted or exces-
sively heated.

7. Instructions to the owner

the manual and the prevailing conditions in the work
place. These instructions must be available, and kept in a
place known and accessible to the user.
Everyone using the infrared heater must follow the
