5 Usage

First use

1. Switch on the HDMI source (for example, a TV decoder or multimedia PC).
2. Switch on the TV or projector and select the appropriate input. This is usually
done by pressing the A/V or EXT button on your remote control.
3. You will immediately receive images from the connected HDMI source.
4. The MegaView 241 UHD 2.0™ can also be used to operate the HDMI source
from another room, by pointing your own remote control at the IR receiver and
pressing a button.

RS232 port

The MegaView 241 UHD™ features an RS232 communications port. With a RS232
cable, it is possible to extend an RS232 connection between a connected PC and an
HDMI source, also called "RS232 pass-through". The RS232 port can also be used to
update the software of the MegaView 241 UHD™.
Using the switch at the front, it is possible to switch between the following options:
A: Update software A
B: RS232 pass-through
C: Update software B
The position of the switch has no influence on the operation of the
MegaView 241 UHD™.
