7. Installation

Please ensure that not impurities (e.g. shavings,
hemp, solder residues or similar) may penetrate
into the body as these could impair function.
The valve is to be installed in the correct
direction of flow (see arrow on the body).
The couplings have to be installed free from
tension with the help of suitable spanners.
The national regulations are to be observed.

8. Initial operation

The pipework has to be laid in such a way that
airlocks are avoided. Otherwise bacterial zones
may develop especially in the circulation return
pipes due to the low flow velocity.
All pipes are to be flushed thoroughly before
initial operation.
To protect the temperature and volume flow
setting against unauthorized tampering, the
valve is lead lockable but this does not apply
to the isolating ball valve. In emergencies, the
circulation riser can be isolated immediately
without opening the lead lock and without
removing the insulation shells.

9. Operation

During operation, the valve does not require
any manual operation. The insulation can be
removed for maintenance and repair and
the riser in question can be isolated from the
system with the help of the ball valve and the
isolating valve (if existing) installed in the supply.
Now the system can be drained with the help
of the draining valve for valve connection. To
do so, the thermometer has to be pulled out of
the draining valve and a

9.1 Function control

The current circulation water temperature can
be read off at the valve thermometer and helps
to monitor the return temperature. Alternatively,
the valve can also be integrated into a
centralised building control system. In this
case, the thermometer has to be replaced with
a PT1000 sensor element (see accessories).
