Operation

Warning
S Make sure that
nobody can place his/her hand in the
path of the moving load in the operat−
ing range of the HME−... (e.g. by
providing a protective screen)
no objects are in the path of the
moving load.
It must not be possible to touch the
HME−... until the mass has come to a
complete stand.

Care and maintenance

Please note
Modules may be damaged if they are not handled correctly.
Do not touch any electronic components when the housing cover is open.
S Observe the regulations for handling electrostatically sensitive components.
S Discharge yourself electrostatically in order to protect the modules from
discharges of static electricity (ESD).
Please note
Liquid cleaning agents such as e.g. soap suds can damage the linear module.
S If necessary, clean the HME−... only with a soft dry cloth.
Liquids must not penetrate into the interior of the HME−...
If necessary, remove ferromagnetic deposits (e.g. metal filings) from the
S
magnetically coded measuring tape 9. Even the low magnetic attraction force
of the measuring tape can cause metal dust to accumulate.
