Inserting/Replacing the battery

A 9 V block battery (e.g. type IEC 6F22) is required for ope-
ration. To insert/replace the battery, proceed as follows:
• Push t he c over o n t he b ack i n t he d irection o f t he a rrow o n t he
appliance and remove the cover.
• Connect the new battery, with the correct polarity with
the battery clip and push the cover on the appliance again.
It is necessary to change the battery when the display can
no longer be read properly or when the appliance cannot
be switched on anymore.

Do not leave batteries lying around carelessly. They might be swallo-
wed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Batteries may not be charged, shorted or thrown into fire. There is a
danger of explosion.
Leaking or damaged batteries may cause alkali burns if they come in
contact with the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited. Do not throw-
batteries into fire!

In order to avoid damage to the appliance from leaking bat-
teries, remove the battery from the appliance when you do
not use the appliance for a long time. For the same reason it
is advisable to take out empty batteries immediately.
