Height
Optimal height is to have the tweeters (the small speaker cones) on the same plane
that your ears are on when you're in your most common listening location.
Adjustments through tilting and turning
Each monitor should be turned inward so that they face toward you. Clarity HD™
Model One monitors should also be tilted vertically to point toward you if it's not
practical to place them at ear level. The natural position for Clarity HD Model One
Monitors is to point upward 15 degrees.
Positioning for Adjusting Bass Response
Distance to the side walls, back wall and corners can have the biggest impact on the
sound of your Clarity HD Model One Monitors. The closer they are to a wall, floor, or
ceiling the more bass reinforcement you will get. Changing the location of the Clarity
HD Model One Monitors in relation to these surfaces can dramatically affect both the
quality and quantity of the bass. Maximum bass comes when each monitor is placed
in a corner. In fact, the response can be so deep, that in some rooms, you may find that
you want to move it out from the corner to achieve the desired balance of low bass
notes and high and mid tones. As a rule, placing them two to three feet away from
walls and corners will minimize this effect.
