MOSQUITO REPELLENT FEATURE
The electric Mosquito Repellent Adapter located at the top of the
air cooler can be switched ON to deter mosquitoes from entering or
staying in the area that you are trying to cool.
A separate Insect Repellent Mat (not included) must be purchased
and inserted into the adapter in order for this feature to be used.
The Mat is saturated with repellent and the Mosquito Repellent
Adapter uses heat to disperse the repellent from the mat into the
air surrounding the air cooler.
The Mat is a standard product that can be purchased from most supermarkets, convenience stores
or hardware stores.
Recommended Insect Repellent Mat Specifications:
Size: 35 (W) x 22 (D) x 2.5 (H) mm
Hours of Use: up to 12 hours*
How to Install the Insect Repellent Mat:
1. Make sure the On/Off switch on the Mosquito Repellent Adapter is switched OFF.
2. Remove the Insect Repellent Mat from its packaging and insert
the Mat into the Mosquito Repellent Adapter (see Figure 1.1).
Only ONE Mat can be inserted and used at one time.
3. Switch ON the Mosquito Repellent Adapter to activate. The Mat
will gradually heat up and disperse repellent into the air.
4. Switch OFF the adapter when you no longer need the insect
repellent function.
NOTE: The Mosquito Repellent Adapter functions independent
from the Air Cooler. It will stay ON for as long as the adapter is
switched ON. Turning OFF the air cooler will NOT switch off the Mosquito Repellent Adapter.
5. The Mat will turn a pale color or white color when it has been exhausted and needs to be replaced
with a new Mat.
NOTE: Insect Repellent Mats from different brands will have different usage times before
needing to be replaced. They typically last between 10 to 12 hours*. Read the packaging of the
mat you purchased to estimate the repellent coverage area and the usage time of the mat you
are using.
6. To change to a new Insect Repellent Mat, make sure that the adapter is switched OFF and allow
the adapter slot to cool down completely (approximately 30 minutes) before inserting a new
Insect Repellent Mat.
* NOTE: Different brands of mats may have slightly different coverage specifications and hours of use.
Follow the mat replacement instructions on the packaging or user manual of the mat that you purchased.
