Maintenance and cleaning
- Before any cleaning operation, switch the appliance off and unplug it.
- The outside of the appliance can be cleaned using a soft damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive products for cleaning.
- Never immerse the main body in water or any other liquid, or put it in the
dishwasher. The appliance should not come into contact with water during
cleaning.
- Water must not get into the appliance; should this happen, take it to an
authorised service centre before using it again.
- Clean the transducer at least once a week, as follows:
1. a) Moisten a cotton bud with vinegar and wipe the transducer gently, until the
scale deposits disappear completely.
2. Rub down with a dry cloth and remove remains of humidity.
- Do not place the transducer directly under the tap.
- Do not rub the transducer with hard or metal objects.
- Clean the inside of the water tank at least once a week, as follows:
1. Fill the inside of the water tank with water and an anti limescale product.
Close the tank completely with its cap and shake forcibly.
2. Rinse thoroughly.
- Note: Water accumulated over long periods may create bacteria and mildew
(fungus).
- Homemade solutions are not recommended in the de-scaling of this applian-
ce, such as the use of vinegar.
Recommendations
- Never leave water in the base or in the tank.
- Dry all the parts inside the appliance carefully, paying particular attention to
the transducer.
- Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.
Anomalies and repair
- Do not modify or repair the appliance. In the event of any anomaly in the
appliance, do not use it and take it to an authorised assistance service.
- Do not use parts or accessories that are not supplied or recommended by
TAURUS.

Ecology and recyclability of the product
The materials used to make the packaging of this appliance are covered by a
system for collecting, classifying and recycling them. Should you wish to dispo-
se of them, use the appropriate public containers for each type of material.
The product does not contain concentrations of substances that could be
considered harmful to the environment
IMPORTANT: When you wish to dispose of the appliance,
NEVER throw it in the rubbish. Instead, go your nearest CLEAN
POINT or waste collection point, where it will receive subsequent
treatment. You will thus be helping to take care of the
environment.
This appliance complies with Directive 2006/95/EC on Low Voltage, with Di-
rective 2004/108/EC on Electromagnetic Compatibility, with Directive 2011/65/
EU on restrictions on the use of certain dangerous substances in electrical and
electronic appliances and with Directive 2009/125/EC on the ecological design
requirements applicable to products related to energy.
