NOTE: Do not attempt to fill the Companion Portable unit
if the stationary unit contents indicator is near the empty
area.
NOTE: For Companion 1000T only. Remove Moisture
Cup by rotating thumb nut ¼ turn counter- clockwise. Wring
out Moisture Pad, held with Velcro
2. Using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth, dry the male and female fill
connectors.
3. Hold the Companion Portable unit with both hands and position the
contoured case over the matching recessed area in the Stationary unit
cover (Figure 10).
4. Lower the Companion Portable unit carefully into place taking care to
assure proper engagement of fill connectors.

5. Place one hand on top of the Companion Portable unit directly over
the fill connector and press straight down. This will lower the
Companion Portable unit approximately 10mm, and assure proper
engagement of the fill connectors.
6. While holding the Portable unit in the fill position, move the vent
valve lever to the open position (90° from normal off position). This
will result in a rather loud hissing noise (Figure 11).
