COMPANION 500/550 UNIT COMPONENTS
Become familiar with the various parts of the unit described below and
shown in Figure 9.

Vent Valve — This lever operated valve enables the user to fill the
unit. Upon connecting the Companion 500/550 onto the
Companion Stationary unit, the user begins the filling sequence
by opening the vent valve and terminates the fill by closing the
valve.

Flow Control — This adjustable rotary valve controls the rate of
oxygen flow from the unit and should be set for the user's
prescribed oxygen flowrate.

Oxygen Outlet Connector — Oxygen flow from the unit is
delivered through this connector. The oxygen supply tube is
connected here.
