Description / Applications
By purchasing a Renfert safety burner you now own a sturdy laboratory burner. A safety valve automati-
cally turns the gas off within 90 sec. of the flame being extinguished. Thus no more gas can flow out. In
addition, a tipping lever enables you to run the burner on main or pilot flame thus guaranteeing low gas
consumption.
► The burner is supplied in the following versions:
No. 933-0100 > burner for liquid gas
No. 932-0100 > burner for natural gas E
► Please note:
Old
natural gas N (H)
The burner is type-tested and approved by the DVGW (German Association of Gas and Water Installers).
Registr. number: NG-2211AO0738

Installation / Operation
The burner may only be installed by qualified staff in accordance with the DVGW regulations.
• Insert and fix the gas lever supplied with the burner into the screw thread hole on the burner's operating
element.
• Check whether the type of gas and operating pressure required for the burner are compatible with your
gas supply.
• Inspect the connection pipe to ensure it is correctly fitted and in perfect condition
• Shut off the gas tap on the laboratory bench.
• Push the gas hose (DIN 30664) onto the inlet nozzle of the safety burner right up to the last groove.
• Angle the burner's lever, preferably to position A, (pilot flame - see diagram) and open the gas cock for
the lab bench.
• Press the gas lever in the middle of the burner so that the gas flow can be heard. Ignite the flame imme-
diately!
• After the flame has been lit, hold the gas lever down for approx. 10 seconds until the flame burns inde-
pendently. If the flame extinguishes repeat the process.
Caution!
Always ignite the gas burner from the side!
The burner is ready for use.

Areas of Caution
► This laboratory burner does not have an „off" position.
► The laboratory burner must only be used under constant supervision. After use the gas supply
should be turned off immediately via the gas shut-off valve or by separating the gas connection
safety valve. In classrooms, laboratory burners may only be used after turning on all the lined up
shut-off systems (central room shut-off, group shut-off system, shut-off valve). Close attention
must be paid to the DVGW Work-sheet G621 (German legislation) when installing and using gas
apparatus in laboratories and science classrooms.
► Should a strong smell of gas be detected, close the gas shut-off valve immediately and initiate the
corresponding safety measures (see DVGW regulations).
► Always pay attention to the accident prevention regulations laid down by the respective trade
organisations!
► Further information concerning connection and operational regulations can be obtained from your
local gas supply company as well as from your local gas installation specialist.
► Never use water or compressed air to rinse or blow out burners! This could flush out / blow out
the sealant grease causing the burner to leak.
